The 2026 JTG Essay Competition has been announced, and we are delighted to invite submissions for the following question:

The Bob Woodwards Prize

The JTG are pleased to announce the Bob Woodwards Prize for Supervisor of the Year will be presented at this year’s Annual Conference.

The Prize, awarded to a Consultant/SAS Doctor or Senior Dentist working in OMFS who have been particularly supportive of members of the JTG, is named for Professor Bob Woodwards, Past President of BAOMS.

Throughout his career, Professor Woodwards was exceptionally supportive of trainees and we are thrilled to present this award on behalf of Professor Woodward’s family.

All nominations will be treated anonymously but we will require your name and BAOMS number  to confirm you are a Junior Trainee member.
