My name is Theresa Magoba. I am a second-year medical student at the University of Sunderland with a keen interest in pursuing maxillofacial surgery as a speciality within the vocation that is medicine.
I believe MaxFax is a powerful speciality because its impact spans much further than physical health. A person's face holds their identity and smile; their neck holds their voice and capacity to interact with society. Max Fax can help patients recover their confidence and within my role I hope I can highlight the value of this speciality in all its beauty because while it carries so many opportunities for long term fulfilment information on the training required, routes into the field and finance options for both undergraduate and graduate students are limited especially considering it is a dual degree required speciality.
