St. George’s
My name is Keeane, I am a final year medic and the uni rep for St George’s this year.
I fell in love with maxillofacial surgery after a short but very convincing placement with them in my fourth year. Ever since then I’ve been hooked. In my own time I’ve been able to continue to gain experience in the specialty by spending time with the maxillofacial department at St George’s hospital, all of whom have been super accommodating. Through this, I’ve found orthognathics to be particularly interesting.
Outside of my studies I enjoy rock climbing and cycling, which keeps me busy when I’m not on campus.
To me, maxfax is an amazing speciality and I hope to give my medical student peers more exposure to it. Looking forward to a great year!
