KSS - Kent, Surrey, Sussex
Hi, I'm Jessye, the Regional Representative for Kent, Surrey and Sussex (KSS). I hold dual qualifications, having completed my dental degree at Bristol and graduate medicine at Cambridge. I'm currently working as an FY2 doctor in Kent and am excited to organize events for our region. I'm happy to provide support and careers advice to anyone in KSS or beyond!
My medical foundation training has taken me through Tunbridge Wells, Maidstone and Medway hospitals. I've also had the privilege of working in diverse healthcare settings across Taunton, Worcester, Liverpool and Cambridge. With nearly a decade of experience in Maxillofacial surgery, I've built strong connections with colleagues nationwide and am eager to support other junior trainees in getting started.
What drives me in this role is the opportunity to support trainees at every stage of their journey. Having personally navigated through dental school, DFT, DCT, medical school, and foundation training – including a stint practicing dentistry in Australia – I understand firsthand the challenges and opportunities each step presents.
I'm a firm believer in work-life balance being crucial to a successful career. Outside of medicine and dentistry, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, traveling, creating art, and practicing yoga.
