Anna Davies

Hi, I'm Anna! I am a dual qualified FY1 working at Arrowe Park on the Wirral. I completed my dental degree in Newcastle and my medical degree in Liverpool. Following dental school I completed dental foundation and DCT 1 in the North East, prior to moving to Liverpool for DCT 2 and Swansea for DCT 3. I have been involved in the JTG over the past few years, initially attending JTG events, then as the Liverpool University Representative in 2023 and I undertook the role of JTG Secretary in 2024.

I hope to be able to work with the BAOMS council this year to advocate for the issues faced by junior trainees at all stages. OMFS trainees face unique challenges and I feel it is important that these are addressed to aid in retention of trainees. I believe the JTG provides a necessary support network for junior trainees who at times can feel distant from the specialty. The opportunities the JTG provides to juniors interested in OMFS are invaluable. I hope to continue to build on the work the JTG have undertaken over the past few years, providing a network of enthusiastic and passionate trainees across the country and also to represent their views and concerns on the BAOMS council this year.
