Ryan Howells
Hello everyone, I’m Ryan - your JTG foundation and core trainee representative for 2024-25. I am delighted to have the chance to represent you all this year, alongside my wonderful colleagues in the rest of the committee, following on from the great work of last year’s team.
A bit of background about me - I am a dual qualified academic FY2 currently working at St Bartholomew’s Hospital. I’m originally from the beautiful Pembrokeshire coast in South West Wales and I graduated in Dentistry from Barts and The London in 2017. After finishing my dental foundation training in Bristol I completed two years of OMFS DCT, firstly at UCLH/Great Ormond street, and then at Aintree/Alder Hey thereafter. After this I went back to Barts again to study for my medical degree, and have stayed locally to complete my foundation training. I worked throughout my medical degree in OMFS at Queen’s Hospital Romford and continue to work in OMFS at UCLH.
Outside of work and studying I enjoying skiing, hiking, motorsport and playing music.
