Hello, my name is Medha and I am a first-degree medical student at Queen's University Belfast with an interest in pursuing a career in OMFS. I first gained an insight into OMFS during a self-organised summer placement at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital in Sheffield along with peripheral experiences in Doncaster, Mexborough and the Sheffield Children's Hospital.
Alongside medical school, I have been involved in Queen's University Belfast Scrubs (Surgical Society) as President in 2024/25 and as Co-President in 2025/26 which allows me to be on the RCSEng NI Board as a medical student representative. My main goals are to increase the interprofessional learning between dental and medical students in NI whilst improving students' insights into lesser seen specialities like OMFS through talks and hands-on workshops. I look forward to working with the brilliant JTG committee and regional representatives this year!
