Cleft Surgery - Subspecialty Training in OMFS

Bio:

Marnie is a Consultant Cleft, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon based at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital and Aintree University Hospital.

She completed her undergraduate dental degree at the University of Bristol and undergraduate medicine at the University of Liverpool. Her post-graduate OMFS training was carried out in Liverpool and North Wales. She is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and a member of the Craniofacial Society of Great Britain & Ireland.

Marnie was awarded a prestigious National Cleft Interface Fellowship in 2018 gaining extensive experience in the management of patients with a cleft lip and palate and related conditions based in specialist cleft centres in Manchester and Liverpool.

Following two years as a consultant in cleft and maxillofacial surgery at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital she moved to join the Maxillofacial Surgery units in Liverpool in 2024.

Her areas of interest are paediatric Oral and Maxillofacial surgery, Cleft Lip and Palate Surgery and velopharyngeal dysfunction.
