The British Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons award a number of prizes for those who have made significant contributions to the development of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, through research, clinical work or in the widest sense.

In addition, the Association makes a number of student bursaries available for those studying for their second degree.

We have been advised of the following prizes available to Junior members of BAOMS:

  • Members and Junior Trainees prize for an Oral Presentation

  • Members and Junior Trainees prize for a Poster Presentation

  • Research Poster Prize*

  • Clinical Poster Prize*

*awarded to BAOMS members for their free paper or poster abstracts at the BAOMS Annual Scientific Meeting and scored by the session chairs
