2025 JTG Essay Competition
The JTG is proud to present our 2025 essay competition!
The competition is open to all UK and ROI Undergraduate dental and medical students, and dental/medical trainees whom do not currently hold a national training number (NTN).
The essay topic is as follows:
“With increasing competition ratios for surgical training the specialty of OMFS is still underrecruiting. What could be done to rectify the current recruitment crisis and secure our future workforce?”
The winner will receive a free ticket to this year’s JTG conference, and their work will be shared on JTG social media platforms, including here on the website.
The deadline for submissions have now passed, and submissions are in the process of being rated. Entrants will be notified of outcome by email.
2025 JTG Supervisor of the Year
This year the JTG would like to recognise those Consultants/SAS Doctors and Senior Dentists working in OMFS who have been particularly supportive of members of the JTG. To be eligible for nomination they must work within the UK or ROI.
Has someone gone above and beyond? Do you think they deserve recognition? Please complete the form below including a brief outline of why they deserve to be JTG Supervisor of the Year 2025!
All nominations will be treated anonymously but we will require your name and BAOMS number to confirm you are a Junior Trainee member.
The 2025 JTG Committee will shortlist and determine a winner based on the reasoning given for why someone deserves to be JTG Supervisor of the Year. All those who have received a nomination will be notified via e-mail that a Junior Trainee has recognised the support they have given.
Nominations will remain open until midnight 17/10/25
